Terms of Service
Service: SplitKit — shared expenses inside Telegram (bot and Mini App)
Version: 2026-11-01 · This English text is the governing version; translations are provided for convenience.
1. Who provides the service
The service is provided by Sergei Ianchuk, a private individual, Republic of Serbia ("we"). Contact: support@dailykit.top. Full details are in the Operator Details document.
2. What the service does
2.1. The service is a shared record of expenses and a calculator. People who spend money together — on a trip, in a shared flat, at a dinner — keep one list of who paid for what, and the service works out who owes whom.
2.2. Groups. You create a group with a name and one currency and invite others with a link. You can also add the bot to a Telegram group chat and send /split there: the bot creates a group for that chat and posts the link in it. A group can have up to 50 members and up to 2,000 records.
2.3. Expenses. Any member can add an expense: what it was for, the amount, who paid, and how it is split between members — equally, by exact amounts, or by shares. Amounts are kept in whole cents; cents that do not divide evenly are assigned to members one at a time, so the parts always add up to the amount.
2.4. Balances and the payment plan. For every group the service shows each member's balance and a short list of payments that makes everyone even. The list is a suggestion: it is not guaranteed to be the shortest possible, and members may settle in any other way.
2.5. Paying a debt back. The service never moves money. When you owe a member, it can open that member's page in a payment service (Revolut, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App or a payment link the member entered), show their details for a transfer (a phone number, a card number, a UPI ID, a Pix key, bank details or other details in the member's own words), or show a code for a bank, UPI or Pix transfer, if the member has entered such details. You pay with the service you choose, under that service's own terms, and then record in the group that the debt is paid. The member who received the money can record it too.
2.6. Scanning a receipt. You can take or choose a photo of a receipt; the amount is recognised on your own device and offered for you to confirm. The photo is not sent to us. Recognition can be wrong: check the amount before saving.
2.7. Notifications. The bot tells the members an expense concerns that it was added or deleted. In a group started from a Telegram chat the bot posts these messages in that chat instead.
2.8. Export (Pro). A group can be exported as a CSV table or a PDF report. Inside Telegram the file is sent to you by the bot.
2.9. The service does not convert currencies, does not keep photos of receipts, and has no way of editing a saved record: a wrong record is deleted and added again.
2.10. The service works only inside Telegram.
3. Our role
3.1. We are not a bank, a payment institution or an electronic money issuer. We do not hold, receive, send or convert money, and no payment between members passes through us.
3.2. Everything in a group is entered by its members. We do not check whether an expense happened, whether an amount is right, or whether a debt exists. A balance shown by the service is arithmetic over what members entered; it is not evidence of a debt and creates no obligation by itself.
3.3. Payment details (such as a Revolut tag, a PayPal.Me name, a Venmo username, a $Cashtag, a UPI ID, a Pix key, a phone number or a card number for transfers, a payment link, an IBAN and the account holder's name) are entered by the member they belong to. We check only their format. Before you pay, make sure the recipient is who you think it is. A payment sent to the wrong person or for the wrong amount is a matter between you, the recipient and the payment service you used.
3.4. Marking a debt as paid only adds a record to the group. It does not prove that a payment was made or received.
4. Accepting these terms
By opening the Mini App, creating or joining a group, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be old enough to use Telegram under Telegram's own terms and to enter into a contract under the law of your country.
5. Plans and prices
5.1. Free plan. You can have up to 3 active groups that you created yourself. Groups in the archive do not count. Joining other people's groups is not limited. Everything except export is included: expenses, balances, the payment plan, payment links, receipt scanning and notifications.
5.2. Pro removes the limit on groups you create and adds export of a group to CSV and PDF. Pro belongs to the account that paid for it, not to a group. It is sold in two ways:
- Monthly subscription — 120 Telegram Stars a month. It renews automatically until you turn renewal off.
- One year — 1000 Telegram Stars. A single payment for 365 days. It does not renew.
5.3. Payments are made only in Telegram Stars inside Telegram. We do not receive your card or bank details. Stars are purchased from Telegram or its partners under their terms.
5.4. We may change prices for future periods. A new price never applies to a period you have already paid for. For a subscription we will tell you in the bot chat at least 14 days before a new price takes effect, so that you can turn renewal off.
5.5. Gifted Pro. We may give Pro free of charge for a limited time, for example to the first people who try the service. We tell you in the bot chat that it was given and until when it lasts. A gift is not a purchase: nothing is charged, it does not renew, and it cannot be exchanged for Stars or money. When it ends, the free plan applies again unless you have bought Pro. A year of Pro bought while a gift runs is added after the gift; a subscription starts at once and runs alongside the gift, so there is usually no reason to subscribe before the gift ends.
6. Subscription: renewal and cancellation
6.1. A subscription is charged by Telegram once a month.
6.2. You can turn renewal off at any time: in the Mini App (Settings → Turn off renewal) or in Telegram's own settings. Pro then stays active until the end of the period already paid, and no further charges are made.
6.3. When Pro ends, the free plan applies again. Nothing is locked or deleted: all your groups stay and keep working. You cannot create a new group or take one back from the archive while you have 3 or more active groups of your own, and export is unavailable.
6.4. If you delete your account, renewal is turned off first and any remaining Pro period ends together with the account; it is not transferred to a new account. Your rights under section 7 are not affected.
7. Right of withdrawal and refunds
7.1. If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a Pro purchase within 14 days of the payment without giving a reason. The day of the payment is not counted: the period ends with the fourteenth day after it.
7.2. How to withdraw. In the Mini App: Settings → “Withdraw from contract here”. The control is there for as long as a payment can be withdrawn from, also after you have deleted your account and opened the app again. It opens a statement that shows your name as it is in Telegram, the purchase (plan, date of the payment, number of Stars) and how the confirmation reaches you (a message from the bot). When you tap “Confirm withdrawal”, the statement is recorded with its date and time and Pro bought with that payment ends at once. The bot then sends you an acknowledgement that repeats the statement and names the date and time we received it. The function does not ask whether you are a consumer: it is open to every buyer. You can also withdraw by writing to support@dailykit.top or with the bot command /paysupport, stating the date of the payment.
7.3. Refund. We return the Stars of that payment through Telegram to the Telegram account that paid: at once where Telegram lets us, and in any case no later than 14 days after your withdrawal. If you withdraw from a subscription, its renewal is turned off as well.
7.4. For a subscription, the 14-day period runs from the first payment. Later renewals are not refunded once the renewed period has started, unless the law of your country gives you that right or the charge was made in error.
7.5. If a payment was taken but Pro was not activated, write to us: we will activate Pro or refund the Stars.
7.6. These terms do not limit any rights that the consumer protection law of your country of residence gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.
8. Groups and their members
8.1. Who sees what. Every member of a group sees the Telegram names and usernames of the other members, every expense and repayment, and everyone's balance. Anyone who has the invite link can join. Share the link only with people who should be in the group.
8.2. The creator of a group can rename it, change its currency while it has no expenses, move it to the archive and back, replace the invite link (the old one stops working), remove a member who takes no part in any expense, and delete the group with all its records for everyone.
8.3. Records. Any member can add an expense, including one paid by or shared with other members. A record can be deleted by the member who added it, by the member who paid, by the member who received a repayment, and by the creator of the group. Deleting a record changes the balances of everyone it involves; they are notified where the bot can reach them.
8.4. Leaving. A member can leave a group, or be removed from it, only while they take no part in any of its expenses: otherwise the other members' balances would change. The creator cannot leave a group, only delete it. Deleting your account is described in section 13.
8.5. A group started from a Telegram chat. Anyone in the chat can open the link the bot posts and join. Messages about new and deleted expenses are posted to the chat and are visible to everyone in it, including people who have not joined the group. If the bot is removed from the chat, the group stays and its members get private messages instead.
8.6. What you enter. Enter only your own payment details. Do not put sensitive information — about health, for example — into the names of groups and expenses, and do not record data about people who are not in the group.
9. Rules for everyone
9.1. Enter expenses honestly. Do not use the service to claim money that is not owed, to pressure or harass anyone, or for anything illegal.
9.2. You must not interfere with the service, bypass its limits, use it automatically or in bulk, or use it in a way that breaks Telegram's rules.
9.3. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may suspend your access. If a paid period is still running and the suspension is not caused by illegal use, we refund the unused part.
10. Availability and accuracy
10.1. The service depends on Telegram. We do not control Telegram's availability, limits or rules, and the service may stop working fully or partly if Telegram changes them.
10.2. Notifications and exported files are sent through the Telegram bot. The bot can write only to people who have started it or allowed it to write, and delivery can fail if a user has blocked the bot or because of Telegram. Do not rely on notifications as the only way to learn about changes in a group.
10.3. Payment links and codes lead to services we do not control (Revolut, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, the pages of links that members enter, your bank or payment app). They may change how their links work, and a link or a code may stop working or work differently in your country or your app. The bank transfer code follows the European format for SEPA credit transfers and is offered only for groups in euros; the UPI code is offered only for groups in rupees, the Pix code only for groups in reais.
10.4. Receipt recognition runs on your device and depends on the photo, the print and the language of the receipt. It may find a wrong amount or none.
10.5. We may change, suspend or end the service. If we end it, we will tell users in the bot chat at least 30 days in advance where reasonably possible, so that groups can be exported or settled, refund the unused part of paid periods, and delete user data.
11. Liability
11.1. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence and your statutory consumer rights.
11.2. Subject to 11.1:
- we are not liable for debts between members, for whether they are paid, or for disputes between members;
- we are not liable for records entered or deleted by members, for wrong amounts, or for payments made to wrong details;
- we are not liable for the services you pay with, for losses caused by Telegram, by you or by other members, or for events outside our reasonable control;
- our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
12. Keeping your own copy
A group can be deleted by its creator, and an expense by the members listed in 8.3. If the records matter to you, keep your own copy (Pro: export).
13. Ending use of the service
13.1. You can delete your account at any time: Mini App → Settings → Delete account. This cannot be undone.
13.2. When an account is deleted:
- your name, username, language and payment details are erased, and the account is no longer linked to your Telegram account;
- groups in which you are the only member are deleted with all their records;
- in groups shared with other people, the amounts you paid and owed stay without your name, shown as "Deleted account", so that the balances of the other members do not change. If you created such a group, the member who has been in it longest becomes its creator;
- you are removed from groups in which you take no part in any expense.
13.3. If you open the service again after deleting your account, a new, empty account is created.
14. Personal data
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always available from the bot (/terms) and the Mini App. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell users in the bot chat before it takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the service; for a paid period still running, we refund the unused part on request.
16. Governing law and disputes
16.1. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia.
16.2. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts of that country.
16.3. Please write to us first: most problems can be solved without a dispute.
