What it looks like
- A group opens from a link. Your friends need only Telegram: no app to install, no sign-up.
- Split an expense your way: equally, by exact amounts or by shares. No cent gets lost.
- See at once who pays whom. A short list of payments that makes everyone even.
- Start right from a chat. Add the bot to a group chat and send /split: it posts the link and announces new expenses there.
What else SplitKit does
A receipt from a photo
Take a photo of the receipt: the amount is recognised on your phone and put into the form. The photo is not sent anywhere. Check the amount — recognition can be wrong.
One tap to the payment
"Pay" opens PayPal with the amount already filled in, the other person's Revolut page, or a QR code for a bank transfer. You confirm the payment there and mark the debt as paid in the group.
A PDF report
Balances, who pays whom and every expense in one file: the bot sends it to your chat, and you can forward it to the others. There is CSV for spreadsheets. Part of Pro.
What SplitKit does not do
- • It does not move or hold money: you pay each other with PayPal, Revolut or your bank.
- • It does not convert currencies: one group, one currency.
- • It does not read a receipt item by item: the scanner finds the total.
- • It does not edit saved records: a wrong one is deleted and added again.
- • Only PayPal takes the amount in the link, and not for every currency; for Revolut the amount is copied. The transfer QR code works for groups in euros.

Questions
Do my friends have to install anything?
No. A group opens in Telegram from a link; a Telegram account is all they need.
Does the money go through you?
No. You pay each other with PayPal, Revolut or your bank, and mark the debt as paid in the group. SplitKit does not hold or move money.
How does receipt scanning work?
The photo is recognised on your phone, and the amount found is put into the form. The photo is not sent anywhere. Recognition can be wrong, so check the amount; receipts printed in Latin or Cyrillic letters are read best.
Can I keep expenses in several currencies?
One group has one currency. For expenses in another currency, create a separate group; amounts are not converted.
What happens when my 3 free groups are used up?
Nothing is locked: your groups keep working as before. To create a new one, move one of yours to the archive or get Pro.
Who sees my payment details?
Only members of your groups who, by the app's calculation, should pay you. Entering payment details is optional.
How do I delete my data?
"Delete account" in Settings erases your name and payment details. In shared groups the amounts stay without your name, so that the others' balances do not change.
